This book was afflicted with the dreaded leather rot.  I consolidated the leather and applied some new color.  I think this picture makes it look almost too new.  In reality, there was still appropriate wear visible on the book.

This customer wanted his late wife’s dictionary repaired.  So much of the original material was no longer useable that we ended up with an almost new binding but with pieces of the old.
